Stories that live
beyond words.

Dialogue, an original oil painting by Mylene Hernández
DialogueOriginal oil painting

Painted slowly. Felt deeply.

Every painting begins as a visual conception and becomes a process of

transmutation—emotion made tangible.

From first marks
to final layers.

Each painting develops slowly through drawing, tonal structure, color and detail. The image changes as the layers accumulate—until the original idea finds its physical form.

I paint to tell stories—to capture something that words alone can’t always express.

Working primarily in oils, my practice is figurative, sometimes symbolic, and always infused with intention. Each original is made by hand in my Florida studio, carrying something from the moment it was created—and something of myself, too.

Commissions

Invite me into the world you imagine.

Sometimes an image begins long before it becomes a painting—as a memory, a feeling, a person, a place, or simply something difficult to put into words.

If you have been carrying an idea that you would like to see given form, allow me to enter that world with you. A commissioned painting begins as a conversation: you bring the first spark, and I bring my way of seeing, interpreting, and painting.

Together, we discover what the image wants to become.
